The Fall of THQ and Atari Empty
PostSubject: The Fall of THQ and Atari   The Fall of THQ and Atari EmptyWed Jan 23, 2013 1:35 pm

In the past couple weeks, we have lost two big gaming giants, THQ and Atari. Atari is out to sell its logo and THQ has sold its assets. A list of studios/franchises with their new owners is gonna be in the link below. To those who lost jobs, goodluck. However, one sale is gonna be an issue. South Park Studios has filed a lawsuit with THQ because of the game, The Stick of Truth was among the games to be sold. As of now, Ubisoft has taken the game under its wing. Hopefully, the game will still see a bright future.

While I'm sad to see THQ go, it is a true tragedy to see Atari go as well. Just seeing a corporation that has done so much to revolutionize gaming back in the day fade away is a sad experience.

I didn't hear about Atari!!! that's tragic! but i do know a game company (I can't remember the name) is helping THQ release all the games they promised before they go so that's good news... oh wait you already mentioned that

Yeah it's sad what's happening to the industry... Does anyone know who bought their assets? I remember reading an article about it but I can't seem to remember.

The only one that comes to mind is that Saint Row has gone to Deep Silver; the guys behind Dead Island. I don't remember others.
