Tales of Graces F

Just announced today, via http://www.ataleoftworichards.com, "Bamco/Namdai" has confirmed that they will localize Tales of Graces F for US release. It's nice to know us Tales fans in the states aren't ALWAYS getting the shaft on awesome tales games. There's plenty of Graces F vids on youtube, so go search em up to see what the game plays like.

Finally, since Destiny Remake, i've been dying for an english Tales game that uses the Calibur system instead of the TP one. It's a nice change of pace XD

So, what's your guys' thoughts on this?

Graces was originally for wii, but yeah... Graces F is the ps3 only port. Sorry, gow

argh... I hope they localize ToA for the Nintendo 3DS in the states to make up for it..

Hey wait, Namco hasn't announced whether graces is gonna be a PS3 exclusive only... I shall remain hopeful!!! Oh yeah I preordered the pokemon black version and the 3DS just so you guys know

Well, graces f was a ps3 exclusive in japan, they rarely change things like that overseas. As for byssbyss, the 3ds only region locks at the discretion of the game developers. In other words, it's bamco's call on that one, they haven't done it before, so why start now?

And I WILL have the 3ds by april 14th! Though, there's a lack of good confirmed launch titles right now...

Ah of course. I'll be pretty sad if all tales games that get to the states are ps3 exclusive -_-. Oh well I guess I'll have to make do with other games... I'm getting the 3DS the 29th I believe since I decided to pre-order it through amazon and not wait at huge lines at gamestop. I'm also getting dragon age 2

It's only graces f and xillia as ps3 exclusives, I'm sure a multiplatform or 360 exclusive will show up in the coming years.

Namco announced it back on the 2nd, so my guess is that we'll have it by Xmas of this year by the latest.

How good is it compared to other games Kraizer?

im going to say it was enjoyable. alot of people blast the game for several things but i like to think alot of things were done right. Graces was rushed for launch so it made sense that this would happen. the soundtrack is probably the least memorable and the story itself was just "meh" but alot of the inner rpg elements were done beautifully. the battle system is awesome, customization is expansive, and the grind for levels is entertaining. i like the game and i cant wait for xilia.

something i have realized though, namco is getting amazing support from its fans but if they keep rushing games like this they cant really expect to earn any new fans who've never heard of the series while also letting other developers to take the lead. i hate talking about marketing and "money talks" crap with video games but its kinda true

I can assure you that Graces F wasn't rushed. If you want to talk about a Tales game being rushed, look at Xillia. The development team even admitted they rushed it to get it out in time for the Tales Anniversary in Japan. From everyone I seen talk about it, the gameplay is downright amazing, but it's the story that's lacking. I can attest to the gameplay being amazing, i've seen it in action firsthand. lol

While Graces story may be lacking, they actually tried with that. Xillia's story is completely rushed and ends pretty quick, plus they came out and directly stated that they rushed it.
