In case you guys missed the Nintendo Direct this morning, some new information has been released on the Wii U, some of it however has been leaked already but here's a brief of what was told.

There are 2 Wii U's being released on Sunday, November 18th for the US (We get it BEFORE Japan and Europe)

Nintendo Wii U Premium Package
Price: $349.99
Color: "Dress" Black
Storage: 32 Gigabytes
Comes with: System, Gamepad Controller, System AC Cord, Gamepad AC Cord, HDMI Cable, System Stand, Gamepad Stand, Nintendoland Game

There's 3 Launch Day games specified so far; New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendoland & ZombiU
Launch Window is until the end of March 2013, there will be a grand total of 50 Games coming out within this time frame.

Some Launch Window titles include but are not limited to;
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (Comes out for 3DS as well, includes CROSS PLATFORM PLAY Locally and Online, FUCK YEAH!)
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge
Warriors Orochi 3 Hyper
007 Legends
Pikmin 3
Tekken Tag Tournament 2

I don't know about you guys, but I'm definitely willing to sink money into this system already. Nintendo has yet to reveal the official price points for the games however, I've seen them range on Amazon and Gamestop from $50 to $100... so lets keep our fingers crossed that it's not the high end of the spectrum, if it turns out that it is... I may be skipping the system entirely, not willing to spend $100 on a single game disc without any extras involved.

i saw $60 games on gamestop. yeah......um im gonna skip this system. i got a 3DS for Smash Bros 4, im happy :\

60 bucks is only 10 bucks more than most new games these days, it's manageable. And i'm not gonna wait for a redesign on a home console, nintendo doesn't do that, 'cept for the newer Wii's, and all that's different with them is the removed Gamecube compatibility. (Which is a horrid thing to take away.)

and also, if you've been keeping tabs on Smash Bros 4, you'd have known that Sakurai said the 3DS version won't be the same. It'll be a different genre of game.

On another note, I prolly won't end up getting the Wii U til around january anyway.

But really, why skip a console that has games at the same price point? I'm betting the next Xbox and Playstation will have a higher price point for games.... Those I'll be skipping if rumors ring true. Xbox confirmed they're blocking used games, i'm definitely skipping that, and Playstation is considering it.

I shall be getting it. I just know im 8th in line for it at oogie.

Nice. You don't have to put money down when you sign up. They will call you and 24 hours later if you don't pick it up, they move onto the next person.

if you guys have your hearts set on buying a wii u. i have to be honest SAVE YOUR MONEY and wait for either a price drop or a game that has you completely sold to buy the system. i know it's only $299 but i honestly don't believe this is a system to buy at least not at full price. trade in something for it or use a coupon if you get those :\

Well, the better one is $349.99. $50 more is worth it for 4 times the storage, cradles/stands and Nintendo Land PLUS getting 10% back on eShop purchases. And I've been sold on it since Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate has been announced for US release this March.

And my discount helps out a bit, even if it's only 15%.

im wondering if they'll patch their loading screens (apparently everything needs an update once you turn it on) and the synchronizing problems. we couldn't "point the wii remote at the screen" at brem's house, it never worked :\

Hm, never heard of synching problems before. I know of the one possible problem that could fry the OS, which is power disruption while updating. (Don't update during construction, electrical storms or Blizzards)

Note that we didn't have something plugged in. Played yesterday with calibration and it worked great.

I just grabbed the ZombiU bundle today along with a wireless sensor bar and Mario. I have to say, i'm loving this system so far.

I'm still on the fence about it, but I'm pretty sure I'll get it once Smash bros 4 and the Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei crossover comes to pass.

If we all get the WiiU smash bros we could revive our old tournament/ranking days
